Eliot Tower
Eliot Tower is an 18-story condominium building in the cultural district of downtown Portland. Completed in 2005, the building has 223 units with public spaces that include a library, conference room, gym, and roof terrace. The refurbishment committee selected Soderberg Design for this major renovation project in 2015.
The lobby design work focused on designing a significant concierge desk that anchored the massive glass and limestone lobby walls and that integrated technology with design and function. It also included new furniture and area rugs. Elevator interior walls and flooring were part of the lobby scope. In addition, the 17 floors of residential units received all new carpet, baseboards, lighting, art, tile, and benches. The library, conference room and terrace spaces were designed to allow more flexible use in addition to aesthetic improvement.
